General and Category Training Schedule

General Standards Training is an 8-hour course that uses the General commercial/non-commercial/technician manual B-5073 to help prepare students to take the General Standards exam.  The manual is provided for the course.

Category training fulfills the 8-hour requirement for technician training in specific categories. In addition, this course can be used to prepare for taking the technician or certified applicator exam in the specific category.  The specific category training manual is provided for the course.

First Class Pest Training

Give your new employee the right start on their career with state of the art Apprentice Training.  Classes fulfill the state requirements for 20 hours of classroom training before employees can service accounts on their own.  Classes are taught by Wayne Grush, an Entomologist with a Masters’ Degree from the University of Florida and over 30 years of experience in both residential and commercial pest management.

State required sources in Federal and State Pest Industry Laws, Recognition of pests and pest damage, pesticide labels and label comprehension, pesticide safety, environmental protection, application equipment and techniques, pesticide formulations and actions, emergency procedures and pesticide cleanup, and procedures for the immediate reporting of spills and misapplications, basic principles of math, chemistry, toxicology, and entomology, non-chemical pest control techniques including biological, mechanical, and integrated pest management.
